Alton Towers is owned by Merlin Entertainment, Merlin entertainment operates lots of tourist attraction in the UK they also operate in the overseas market. Alton Towers aims are to make a profit so that they can buy new things such as new and exciting rides, like last year they put the ride thirteen. They add a new ride every year so people can be more entertained also to attract people to come and spend extra money so they can make more profit, Alton Towers attracts around 2.7 million visitors per year making it the most visited theme park in the United Kingdom.
